The mega-bookstore that carries thousands of books and music in a comfortable and convenient package is one satellite store short this year. The closing of Border’s at Whaler’s Village in West Maui was a disappointment; especially when seeking out their sections solely dedicated to all things Hawaiian and Maui-centric. Yet there is a silver lining. The Best Bookstore winner still has its Borders Express stores open in Kihei and the Queen Kaahumanu Center in Kahului, as well as the larger version—just Borders—on Dairy Rd. in Kahului. Islandwide.
