The fact that they’re free add-ons to Local Boy’s shave ice is a supernova blow to my munchie mind. Also free are extras like ice cream, gummy bears and li hing mui powder. But it’s the Kauai Cream that they’re famous for. It’s more than mere condensed milk poured on top, but the recipe is secret. Sized “Big Baby,” “Pretty Mama” and “Papa Nui,” they’re more than enough to share (but you won’t want to). As for me, I go for broke with lychee and lilikoi syrups, doused over snow with just-right generousness.
Wife and I went to Local Boys Shave Ice the last two nights. The girl working was great, friendly and cute. Prices were the best and choices were plenty. Highly recommended.
