BEST SWIMMING BEACH, Runner up
Baby Beach

Best of Maui Sports & Leisure 2010

BEST LOCALS' BEACH, Winner
Baby Beach

Baby Beach in Paia offers a twofold service as the Best Locals’ Beach. First, its natural lagoon provides a safe environment for the whole family, be it the little one’s first swimming lesson or just marveling at the wonders hidden in the tide pools. For the older kids, it’s walking distance to Baldwin Beach and Paia Bay, which are great for swimming or bodyboarding. However, Baby Beach’s true potential is revealed on windy days, where it acts as a natural exfoliation spa. It’s true, after being sandblasted by the beach on a windy day, your skin will be soft as a baby’s! True origin of the nickname? You decide.

Best Locals' Beach, Winner
Baby Beach

Locals know that Baby Beach is the perfect place to bring your...well, babies, but the rest of the family, too. The kiddies can play in the water without danger of big waves, thanks to that protective reef/rock/undefinable landmass. Add to that the beautiful views, privacy and the proximity of Mana Foods, and you have an ideal spot for a sunny afternoon. Or, if long walks on the beach at sunset are your thing, Baby Beach is a great starting point for a romantic stroll down Baldwin Beach and the cove (until you get to the nude beach. Unless that's your thing, too.). Mile marker 5, Hana Hwy.
