I have so many memories there. Most are filled with lemon chicken, fired rice and that yummy garlic spinach dish, but some are filled with almond float and green tea ice cream too. One of the best things about Dragon Dragon is that the food always tastes so fresh, comes in large quantities and always arrives on your tale ridiculously quick.

Why do birthdays have a special place in Dragon Dragon dining? According to some Asian customs, it’s good luck to eat long noodles on a birthday; it’s not scientific, but there’s supposed to be a correlation between a long life and long noodles. The fact that Dragon Dragon serves the birthday celebrant with lychee ice cream helps too. Anyway, if noodles aren’t your thing, Dragon Dragon also serves classic Chinese dishes like fried rice, kung pao chicken and occasionally dim sum on the weekends. 70 E. How do they do it? Friends of mine swear by it for large family gatherings, birthday celebrations, etc. They also offer dinner packages for two, four or six. And their regular menu is a tome, featuring a whopping 116 items! Oh, and did I mention they serve dim sum (my personal favorite)? These wonderful little bamboo baskets full of buns, dumplings, etc. are available at lunch. Hmm, given that they’re a three-time winner, maybe they should be called Dragon Dragon Dragon.

Ka‘ahumanu Ave., Kahului, HI 96732 Phone: 808-893-1628 Dragon Dragon is one of Maui's nicest Chinese restaurants, with sit down service and those spinning lazy susans in the middle of big party tables. They have all the Chinese favorites: fried rice, crispy duck, ma po tofu, Singapore noodles and more.
