Jump into the giving spirit of the holidays at Whole Foods Market by participating in their Grab & Give program by purchasing and donate meals to families in need right at the register. Kahului Whole Foods Market has chosen the families at Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Center on Maui to be the program's local recipient.

Whole Foods is designating donation options from their 365 Everyday Value brand that fit the bill. For example, a $5 donation feeds a family breakfast, $10 buys a needy family a healthy lunch like tuna, peanut butter and crackers, or mac and cheese, or a pasta dinner with sides. Give $25 and you feed the whole family for a day. Another way to donate is to make a $5 donation that will go towards the purchase of a personal care kit–body lotions, shower gel and shampoo.

Nationwide, Whole Foods says their program has raised more than $3.6 million and fed more than 435,000 families since its 2007 inception in the Rocky Mountain region.
