Pizza cook/server at Bada Bing

Every time I walk into Bada Bing I feel like I am home. It's kind of like a second home to me. I just get a really warm and friendly vibe from the place. I feel so welcomed that I sometimes eat there on my days off.

I started working as a cook three years ago then moved to hostess and now have been a server for about three months. Many of the employees work both in the kitchen and on the floor. I liked hostessing but serving is definitely better because I make more money.

Working at the restaurant is a full-time job and it keeps me pretty busy. I usually work five days a week but every so often I will work six days when necessary. I try to help out whenever they need me.

My time is split pretty evenly between cooking pizza and serving tables. The mix of the two is great because some days I can be in my own world, make pizza and avoid any stress that comes from dealing with fussy people. Then on other days I work out on the floor and have a great time with the customers and my co-workers.

I moved to Maui eight years ago from the Big Island because I got a bit bored and felt like I needed a change. I live in Kihei and I really love it here. Maui is wonderful. I have worked at several other restaurants on the island but for me Bada Bing is the best. It's where I belong.

We don't have a frequent turnover of employees and so we all know each other pretty well. My coworkers are like family. The managers are so great and very understanding, and owners are really down to earth. Who could ask for more? MTW
