Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon, at Hawaii Nature Center

June 30, 2005
[KEIKI] The Hawaii Nature Center in Wailuku has planned a day for both children and parents to partake in hands on learning about the many interesting insects in our environment. All sorts of questions will be answered about bugs and why they do the things they do. Meant for the fathers who still remember digging up worms, the mothers who will always stop to watch the butterflies, and children who are curious about the creatures that fill the world around them. You can leave your plastic pales at home because participants will be make "insect inns" to take their new squirmy friends home. Children aged five and older are welcomed to attend with an accompanying adult. Reservations are recommended. The price is $14 for non-member child/parent pairs and

$7 for member child/parent pairs. Bring the kiddies down to find out more about the little guys that crawl and fly around us everyday. It's the bee's knees. Hawaii Nature Center is located at 875 Iao Valley Road in Wailuku. Call 244-6500 for more info. [GABRIELLE POCCIA]
