This is such a natural I hesitate to even put it into print, lest some wily screenwriting hack read this and then steal my idea and then sell it to Dreamworks for seven figures. Anyway, Robert Blake reprises his Emmy-winning role as gruff but kind-hearted Detective Tony Baretta. Except this time, Baretta's the one on trial! You see, the movie opens with his wife being shot, but the police immediately suspect that Baretta, in fact, hired the hit man who killed her! Baretta's arrested and put on trial. Then he has to prove his innocence. It can't miss! What? (Anthony Pignataro)
