No More Dumping

Saturday, 8 a.m. at the Wailea Beach parking lot

October 06, 2005
[PROTEST] Don't like how commercial tour boat operators are dumping raw sewage and waste into Hawaiian waters? Then wake up realllllly early this Saturday and head to the Wailea resorts and make yourself heard. The time for action is now. Bad publicity has already lead tour boat operator Trilogy to stop its boats from dumping any more waste. If they can start doing the right thing, so can everyone else. Organizers are encouraging people to bring signs "expressing how you feel about this situation." As a service to help further civil disobedience, I've taken the liberty to come up with a few sign slogans on my own, since "Pump It/Don't Dump It" has gotten kind of old. May I suggest "Sewage Sucks, So Suck Sewage," "Dump This!" and, if you've got a lot of posterboard, "To Pump Or Not To Pump: That Is The Question." [ANTHONY PIGNATARO]
