This is one of those trailers that shows us the whole movie: the story of a young girl in 20th century Japan who goes from maid to renowned Kyoto courtesan. Based on the best-selling book of the same name, you can assume the movie's going to be a sweeping epic, full of gorgeous costumes, beautiful landscapes and emotional drama. It's likely to be an Oscar contender and you know everyone's gonna see it. So would it kill Columbia Pictures to leave a little room for the imagination come opening day? (SC)
