November 17, 2005 [FUNDRAISER] Listen here, doll—so you wanna dip the bill and cut a rug? Or maybe you're a bird looking to get dizzy with a dame? Whatever the case, fly your flivver over to this hopping 1940s benefit party, sip some corn and show off your gams! That's right, toots, it's three hours of dancing to the sounds of Moonglow Swing Band featuring Kelly Covington, as well as Earl Love & Friends Blues Band. This here is a fundraiser for the Iao Theater Restoration Project, culture and arts programs, the Kihei boat ramp and Maui Food Bank. Tickets are $100 for a full evening including dinner (6 p.m. entry), or $50 without (8:30 p.m. entry). You can buy tickets at Topaz Jewelers in Kihei or Borders Books in Kahului. This kitten will see you birds there! [SAMANTHA CAMPOS]
