November 24, 2005 [STAGE] Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet is an incredibly inspirational work that is incredibly difficult to memorize. But that won't stop Maui's own Felix Nacson, who's been moved to action by this timeless classic. He'll be acting out the tale of a prophet who wanders around the desert on his life's journey. The prophet wants to give to mankind but, as wandering in the desert goes, he has nothing to offer but his wisdom. So when he's asked a question from a desperate soul, the prophet delivers—with his gift of gab. He then dishes it out on everything from marriage and family to work and pleasure. The book has inspired many and hopefully, the reenactment will inspire Broadway. $12. For info, call 244-9091. [GABRIELLE POCCIA]
