[IMPROV TROUPE] The InsPirates is the most recent comedic brainchild of Steven Nikolau and Matthew Brass, formerly of The Pono Players, but also featuring Daniel Vicars, Rachel Deboer, Ishiah, J Bird and Tennessee. Their latest show, called "Channel Sailing," is—in their witty banter—"a treasure chest" full of improv comedy, live music, performance art and "mystical visual projections, as these light-speed wit slingers will quantum leap everything you thought you knew about TV… on a quest for the rich booty of creative inspiration." Hey baby, call it what you will—laughter heals. Performances also on Jan. 28 and Feb. 4. The Stepping Stone Playhouse is located on the second floor of the Queen Ka'ahumanu Center in Kahului.
