Fiddle-Dee-Dee

Sunday, 4 p.m. at St. John's Church in Keokea

February 16, 2006
[CELTIC MUSIC] Feb. 1 marked the beginning of the Celtic season of Imbolc—the beginning of Spring, and the time to focus on all matters of home and rejuvenation. Speaking of rejuvenation, award-winning smallpiper Finn Moore and fiddler Sarah Hoy from Scotland will be providing foot-stamping jigs and reels for all us Celtic-appreciating folks on Maui. Moore is a master of pipes, and has been teaching at piping schools worldwide, as well as playing live shows. Hoy, also an accomplished musician from a family of players, teaches fiddling in Scotland and the U.S. It's Moore and Hoy's first time on this island—they sold out their jig gig in Honolulu!—so come early and extend your warmest aloha, failte or welcome. $10 at the door, half-price for keiki under 12. For more info, visit www.mauiceltic.com or call 264-5190.
