More Pumping, Less Dumping

Saturday, 6:30 a.m. at Ma'alaea Harbor

May 18, 2006
[PROTEST] For many, many months now, the Pump Don't Dump group has yelled, complained, bitched, moaned and in general made people aware that it's not a good thing for commercial tour boats to be dumping raw sewage into Hawaiian waters. With the state and county now funding a pump truck at Ma'alaea Harbor until a proper pump-out facility is built, there's absolutely no excuse for any boats there to be releasing their sludge into the ocean. Most boats are pumping, but there are still some holdouts. Hence this morning protest, to try to bring pressure on the last of the dumpers. For more information, visit www.pumpdontdump.com.
