August 03, 2006 [CULTURAL FEST] It's the 4th Annual Maui Sugar Plantation Festival, hosted by Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum. Expect an 'imu ceremony followed by taiko drums, martial arts demos, ribbon dancing, "Tita Out!"-ing, Celtic pipes and drums, and so much more. There'll be tons of exhibits and entertainment, local food faves, historical displays and multi-culti info to be had. Admission is free—so is the parking at King's Cathedral on the corner of Dairy Rd., where you can catch a free shuttle to the event. The A&B Sugar Museum is located at 3957 Hansen Rd., Pu'unene. For info, call 871-8058.
