Eh Brah
This Week's Eh Brah!

August 17, 2006 You'd think that a major department store would train its electronic department clerks so they understand what they're supposed to with used household batteries. But apparently not. You know, I drove around half of Maui with a bag of AAs trying to find out where I could get rid of them. Literally not one person I found knew where I could dispose of them in an environmentally friendly way. After persistent questioning at the dump I finally found out that a certain department store would properly dispose of them. So I went there and asked the first clerk I saw what I could do with my used batteries. "On Maui, we throw those into the trash," he said, shrugging his shoulders. "But that's very bad for the environment!" I told him. "Yeeah, I know," he said, still shrugging his shoulders. Thanks for nothing.
