No More Dumping

Saturday, 9 a.m. at the Wailea Beach parking lot

August 31, 2006
[DEMONSTRATION] The campaign to get all the island's commercial snorkel and tour boats to stop dumping raw sewage into Hawaiian waters is progressing pretty steadily. According to the group Pump Don't Dump, Aloha Blue Charters' Hokua boat recently began using pumping facilities when it gets into port. But the group says there are still five boats out there still dumping waste. Some people still aren't getting the word that human waste doesn't belong in the ocean. For more information, check out www.pumpdontdump.com. [ANTHONY PIGNATARO]
