[STAGE] It's the annual production of Scrooged! We all know the story: a rich old miser refuses to share his wealth or warmth of any kind. He employs his exact opposite, a poor man who is caring and giving. It's extremely appropriate on an island where half the population is of the loving, sharing and hard-working type and the other half are rich tourists or snow birds who can be, at times, a little… what's the word? Insatiable? Not to mention that the holiday celebrations they enjoy so much are made possible by those working on said "holidays!" Whoa, that was a little off-track; I swear I'm not bitter. Anyway, the show should be a fun-filled, heartwarming event for the whole fam. Scrooged! runs weekends through Dec. 17. Tickets: $18. Steppingstone Playhouse, Queen Ka`ahumanu Center, 244-8760.
