This goes out to the idiot near Ukumehame who thought it would be cool to use the ocean as his personal driving range. How can you possibly see this as cool? It is littering, pure and simple. Each little golf ball contains the same amount of plastic as a two-liter soda bottle! What the hell were you thinking? There is enough plastic that ends up in our oceans inadvertently without jerks like you purposely polluting it for your own amusement. Are there not enough golf facilities on Maui? Do you think that because golf is predominantly an affluent white pastime that driving balls into the water somehow makes you any better than the meth-heads who dump their burned-out cars on the beach? Wrong! The only difference between you and the jerks who dump their household trash in the middle of the night is that at least they're smart enough to commit their crime when no one's around. You're a thoughtless, arrogant idiot and you do not deserve to live on this island. Consider yourself lucky that I was late driving a friend to the airport or I would have stopped and practiced a few swings of my own.
