[DEBUT OF "STAYING IN"] I like to go out. My desire to go dancing and/or interacting with abundant groups of people is surpassed only by my love for having a good, deep conversation with a new and interesting stranger. Maui is not exactly the best place to satisfy these types of cravings. My friends and acquaintances are constantly reminding me that I am a Calendar Editor and that I should be full of ideas for a night on the town. But, let's face it: when your options are limited to: a reggae band, a vomit-smelling bar full of tourists and booty-call hunters, the same DJ you saw last week or driving to another part of the island for similar options, sometimes refraining altogether just seems like a better idea. No disrespect to local entertainers, but absence makes the heart grow fonder. So for this week's picks, I give you… drum roll please… Staying In! (Next week: Staying In Ideas #1 & 2) [HK]
