[DANCE/POTLUCK] I've already divulged my obsession with Grease and Danny Zucko, but have I mentioned my fetish for The Outsiders? Yeah, as in the coming-of-age (set in the late '50's) book by S.E. Hinton. The movie sucked but the book changed my life. Forever will I be turned on by the words "Ponyboy" and "Sodapop," not to mention I kind of feel obligated to nurture and take care of all of the Johnny's that come my way. For those of you who are feeling me on this one, I have great news: The Aloha Ballroom Dance Academy is putting on a 1950's theme Sock Hop featuring ballroom, swing and Latin music to groove to. There's also a potluck going on—everyone is required to bring something along the lines of a pupu, salad, entree or dessert. Just no garlic, no spicy stuff, no chips and dip.
