[FILM] Ahhh… the Maui Film Festival's Candlelight Cafe and Cinema is back and ready for action. Thank goodness! My Wednesdays were becoming so… pedestrian! So they took a wee break after the Wailea Festival happenings, but now it's on ("like Donkey Kong," as my '80s pals used to say). This week's film: The Hoax, starring Richard Gere, Alfred Molina, Hope Davis, Stanley Tucci and Julie Delpy. It's about Clifford Irving, a charismatic character who pulls a fast one on… well, the world… when he writes an unauthorized biography (and saying it's authorized) of the eccentric billionaire Howard Hughes—in essence, lying in print for the rewards of fame and fortune.
