August 16, 2007 [BENEFIT CONCERT] It's time for Hoomana`o 2007–91.5 FM, Mana`o Radio's annual benefit concert. Come on down to support Maui's non-profit, non-commercial and extremely eclectic radio station. Kathy "Tita" Collins will be there as well as many "FOM" (Friends of Mana`o) like The Barefoot Natives, Grammy winner George Kahumoku Jr., Raiatea Helm and her band, Ola Hou Band (the Brown 'ohana & friends), Lono, and Kamakakehau Band (Kamaka Fernandez group). Many more of Hawai`i's most loved entertainers will also be there showing their love. Hoomana`o literally means, "to remember". And it will be the first Hoomana`o without founder Barry Shannon, who passed away on April 7. But then again, when the music starts, I'm sure that everyone there will feel a little bit of Barry in their hearts. Tickets: $35, $25, $10. For more info: www.mauiarts.org
