[CELEBRATION] In 1981, the United Nations established International Day of Peace to devote a specific day dedicated to the ideal of enjoying peace on earth. Come watch yoga teachers from around Maui—Ram Dass, Deeksha Givers of Maui, Geordie Jahner-studio owner and 5Rhythms ecstatic dance instructor—celebrate that original UN vision. The event is in collaboration with the Global Mala Project, which is a project uniting collective consciousness around the world. Shiva Rea, M.A., a renowned yoga and trance dance teacher, is the catalyst for the project and will host the hub event in Los Angeles. All hosts around the world on this day of peace will donate 100 percent of their proceeds to various non-profit organizations. The Studio Maui Movement Center is located in the Haiku Marketplace.
