To the independent thinking but non-listening hairdresser who hacked my hair so badly that I'm now required to wear hats and stay inside for the next couple weeks till I look human again: is it so hard to look at someone's hair and see what the style is, and then replicate it? Is it so hard to listen to what the customer asks for and then do your best to send them home happy? I guess so, or maybe the joke is on me. See, I went home feeling absolutely bummed and looking like Alfalfa from The Little Rascals! As I write this it's Friday night and I am staying in, because I would be ashamed to be seen in public now. All I wanted was a trim, but you did so, so much more than that. What's more, my friends say that my experience was actually pretty common. Are there any good hairdressers out there? If so, why do they continue to elude me?

I feel ya manh. I had this happen to me when I first moved here, this broad gave me a mullet (and I'm a girl) and it took me over a year to grow it out. I still struggle to find a good stylist on this island the last guy gave me the typical "Jennifer Aniston" which would maybe have been cute in 1995 but now I guess I should just be grateful I'm not missing any hunks or wearing massive bangs shaped like a soup bowl.

It could be worse, it could have been a reverse mohawk.

Usually the only difference between a good and a bad haircut is three days, but it sounds like you will be taking a bit longer than that. Sorry for you.
