November 15, 2007 To the guys who felt the need to take my tips: you know that I kept my store open late just to serve you and then you get the nerve to steal my tips? That was my money! Let me guess—“Oh, it’s okay because she’s just some rich haole who works to look good and doesn’t need the money.” Think again, brah! I was born and raised. I’m also pregnant, broke and working two jobs. The night you lifted my tips I had $7.19 to my name not counting the tips you stole. That was my food money. But I suppose I can let go of the $20 you took from me. If your life is so bad that you need to take money from a pregnant teenage girl, then I feel for your family. No, go ahead and take it—I’ll go hungry, but with a smile on my face knowing that karma will get you where it hurts.
