Tis the tale of Blithe Spirit, Maui OnStage's current production. Charles is happily married to his second wife. Everything is normal until a séance brings his late-wife Elvira back into the picture. Will the two wives get along? How will Charles cope with one of modern man's greatest nightmares–two wives under the same roof? I seriously can't wait to watch this play. Scandalous, Satirical Comedy
Thursday (Nov. 15) 7:30 p.m., McCoy Studio Theater, MACC
[COMEDY] Unitards scare me. They make me think of lumpy, sweaty people doing aerobics to bad 80's music. They also remind me of the three embarrassing and miserable months I spent doing gymnastics–at my mother's behest—in middle school. My unitard had baby pink and blue stripes. I think mom picked it up at a garage sale for a dollar. Thankfully, I'm pretty sure that Unitard, the comedy trio production, will be able to change my negative attitude towards the one-piece garment. Three saucy, scandalous comedians, Mike Albo, Nora Burns and David Ilkum, come together for an evening of monologues, one-liners and hilarious sketches. In one, Burns plays a wannabe "fag hag" and in another Albo's an overbearing gay boyfriend–which is the type of funny stuff we've come to expect from Manhattan Mama's naughty, bawdy, offbeat Coconut Cabaret productions. Mo' Tita

[SHOW] Kathy "Tita" Collins, winner of the Hawai`i Music Awards for comedy, is awesome. I just love the sound of her low, resonating voice. There's not a woman on this island who can look as relaxed and at home while at a high-maka-maka function as Collins does, wearing rubbah-slippah and rice-bag shorts. She's back at the MACC for Mo' Tita as part of the local voices Wala `au series and is sure to send the crowd home with laughs, chicken skin and maybe even a few tears. Tickets: $25, 242-7469.
Lawa Loves Hana
Saturday (Nov. 17) 4-10 p.m. at Hana Bay Beach Park
[MUSIC] Need another reason to go to Hana? Local ska-rock-reggae band Lawa's going to rock Hana Bay with Roots masters One Vibe. The concert will benefit Hana's alternative learning center, Kula `Ike Community School. This one-room schoolhouse offers alternative education to Hana's youth in areas like Hawaiian native biology, American history, music and crafts. Dance to great music in the park, play on the beach, eat delicious local and vegetarian dishes and support the community in amazing Hana. Mangia for Makena
Tuesday (Nov. 20) 4-9 p.m. at Flatbread Pizza in Paia
[BENEFIT] I've got a lot of great Makena Moments. My favorite memory is the time I sat there and watched a tourist couple trying to longboard the shore break. Now the Save Makena foundation—which knows a good deal more about Makena than they did—is holding a benefit at Flatbread Pizza in Paia. A portion of all pizza sales will go to the foundation so they can keep educating people about the area and protesting what they deem the "overdevelopment" of the coast. T-shirts, bumper stickers, silent auction and an info table are some of the fun stuff you can look forward to. For more info www.savemakena.org.
