January 03, 2008 I should have known what kind of person you were when I saw you back into my concrete wall, then turn and take off down the street. Now a lot of people saw you do this, which is why you stopped. I shouldn’t have been surprised to see you get out of your junky van and start fast-talking me. You had no driver’s license, insurance, job or place to live—except the van, I suppose. So I called the cops, but they were busy with other fish to fry. So you gave me a bogus phone number and took off, promising that you’d come back and repair the wall. Yeah, right! Now I forgive you, but my landlord—who actually owns the wall you knocked apart—probably won’t. I hear he’s got a big family who really know the island, too…
