Herbicide-tolerance n. A genetically engineered trait that allows crops to be doused with large quantities of poison that would otherwise damage or kill them.
Usage: "Monsanto will…explore herbicide-tolerance and disease-resistance opportunities to meet wheat farmers' needs."
