Public interest Used to disguise statements that in reality advocate private interests.

Usage: "This matter before us is about water to meet the public interest. It is about Hawaiian Commercial and Sugar Company (HC&S) and upcountry farmers in Kula who rely on this water."

    Kipahulu
    October 22, 2009 | 05:54 AM

Dude, the water that goes to Hawaiian Capitalist and Suspicious belongs in, like, Kipahulu.

Water, like food, should be local. That way, we keep the water in Kipahulu, then we can grow food in Kipahulu, and then we keep the food local in Kipahulu. Then, like, all the creepy people from Kahului will have to find their own solutions. You know?

Local means never having to leave home
