Triple Surf Feature

Dec. 1 (Tuesday), 5pm and 7:30pm, Castle Theater, MACC

Dear_Yonder

November 26, 2009
There's no better feeling than being in a barrel. People spend their whole lives trying to feel this good—they look for it in sex, drugs and money…all meaningless. Once you get barreled, you'll never want to go back. The Save Honolua Coalition wants to ensure that people can continue to get barreled in the Honolua area by maintaining public access and revitalizing the ecosystem of Honolua Ahupu'a. And you can help them with their noble goal by…watching movies, as the Maui Film Festival presents A Surf Triple Feature benefiting Save Honolua. For $10 you'll get to watch The Drifter (Rob Machado's adventures in the Indonesian Ocean), Dear & Yonder (daring and talented women share their surf stories) and Faces of the Bay (footage of Honolua, in all its glory). Rumor has it that Rob Machado might be there. But even if he isn't, you'll get to see him on the big screen. Mauifilmfestival.com
