Not by knitting mittens or wearing little pins and bumper stickers, but rather by attending this free concert, featuring Hana Hou, the 501st Airforce band founded 25 years ago. The band is composed of 11 members, who will perform individually as well as in small jazz groups, offering patrons a unique, rousing experience, complete with vocalists and a bugler, led by Chief Master Sergeant Larry D. Mac Taggart. Also, in keeping with the Chinese New Year theme, Whalers Village will host a Lion Dance on February 17, starting at 3:30pm. www.whalersvillage.com
