February 17, 2010 | 03:03 PM Recently opened Duke's Beach House is Henry Kapono's new home on Friday nights. Kapono, in case you didn't know, is a Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, winner of multiple Na Hoku Hanohano awards and one-half of the iconic local duo Cecilio and Kapono. "Performing helps me," he told MauiTime contributor Ynez Tongson in November. "I love to do it. I talk through my music." "The Wild Hawaiian" will perform at Duke's at least through March 19, and if all goes as planned, his gig should become a regular Friday night staple.
