To the tried-and-true Maui cliché: You don't lose your girl, you just lose your turn. To the vultures poised and ready for someone to break up with his chick, and you swoop in and promise the world just so you can have a glimpse, or a taste, of what we let go of for a second—her tears aren't even dry yet. Enjoy the sloppy seconds!

Poor avian analogy, as vultures are known to mate for life. But, a good (albeit point-defeating) analogy as vultures do our ecosystem the great service of cleaning-up (and capitalizing upon) abandoned carnage.

What break-up bystander wouldn't prefer witnessing quick cleanup over lingering aftermath? Besides, any fallout thereafter can at least be easily chalked to up to rebound. To me--someone with selfish, lazy friendship skills--such as 'scoop' would equal a more convenient support-giving situation. So, vultures, circle away.

Not to mention, Miss Piggy might be quite taken with the vulture's impressive wingspan (the largest of land birds). Who knows? That might be enough to support those world-sized promises.

What? Not getting the last post. Sounds like a lot of blah blah with no real purpose. This is a message board, not a poetry slam. Though the last line was great.

And this is so true especially here on Maui.

I always say, any woman that arrives on this island gets a +2 on the attractiveness scale. Guys are deprived here on Maui. So many but her faces and overweight women that when a halfway decent looking female that isn't bat shit crazy shows up, she is a goddess.

And so goes the cliche'. Get thirds if you're still hungry. And the lord made us guys hungry forever.
