EhBrah

This is for the person who returned my wallet—cash, credit cards and all—and not only didn't ask for a reward, but did it totally anonymously so I couldn't even thank you. That was the definition of a good act, done in secret and completely forsaking praise and glory. But don't think you escaped without a reward: that's some serious karma points in the bank for sure. I just wish there were more like you out there. Aloha.

awesome, awesome, awesome "eh brah". i wish i could read about more of these types of stories instead of all the usual negative ranting. i guess there still are good, honest people out there. however, i don't think one should ask for a reward, that's totally up to the "victim" who lost their item(s). Malama Pono!!!!!!

It happens all the time, when least expected.

That is awesome that you got your stuff back. There's alot of people out there that know someone would have to go through hell to get all that taken care of, if it were truly lost. New drivers license, credit cards, etc. So when they return the lost item, the good will come back to them two fold. It's just the way it is. They feel better about themselves, and that's all that matters, they don't need validation by having their name in the paper for doing good.

It is nice to read too. I remember a lady driving in front of me for miles had her purse on top of her car...I honked and honked and she kept driving. Well it fell of her car, I pulled over retrieved her pocketbook. I didn't dare open it up. I went right to the police station who wanted nothing to do with it, but gave me the 3rd degree. They wanted to know why I didn't open her wallet and just drop it at her house. I said no way. I started to leave and they gave me a hard time about me not giving them my name...finally a cop said to me, maybe the lady would like to thank you. I did not give my phone number but I gave them my address...and a couple of weeks later I got a very nice thank-you note, and the funny thing is she did hear me honking my horn, but she thought I was an impatient driver who wanted her to go faster so she did not stop and she even noticed my hand gestures pointing to the top of her car. She said in her letter in her gut she knew I was trying to tell her something but she didn't listen. It feels good to be honest and help somebody out, more people should try it sometime!!!!

I've found wallets a couple of times in my life, but both times the cash was gone already. I was able to determine the owner both times, and got them their wallets back...but I had to pass on rewards, as they already were out their cash.

If anyone found my wallet, the cash would already be gone too.

    I'm not sure

I'm not sure if this is the same wallet that I retrieved from the road after my boyfriend and I saw you drive off from the gas station down by Sack'N'Save. When I read the Ebrah just today before I recycled it touched my heart. Thank you for thanking me. That was a strange day. We were stuck at that gas station for four hours because we had locked our keys in the car. I had broken my back last year and had lost my rental and was out of work for 9 months. My not so smart boyfreind wanted to keep the cash that was in your wallet and I said "no" and taught him a lesson in human kindness and karma. We may be struggling at this time yet I know right from wrong. I am currently homeless and it flat out sucks but I would never take from anyone. We all struggle from time to time. Thank you again(if it was you)!
