It's nice that there is such a lively forum for the blossoming musical talent on Maui. There may not be much money in being a musician here, but the love of music is what's important anyway.
Every artist knows that in order to make a living as a singer, songwriter, musical talent, then they have to play everywhere and anywhere they can. Happy hours, opening for other bands, doing tours, maybe getting some radio airtime, etc.
I think that's the point KM makes.
As far as who is better, Kahala or the Throwdowns? That may be irrelevant. The music is there to be enjoyed. The artists aren't putting it out there because they love to be slammed with criticism. They are putting it on the line, doing what makes their hearts sing, and because it rocks their soul.
