Wow. That's spooky how close this is to the soundbite from MECO along with last month's bill and their request for a 9.7% rate increase: "“We know that these are challenging times and understand that any increase is difficult for our customers,” said Maui Electric Company President Ed Reinhardt. “We’ve made concerted efforts to contain costs and improve efficiency, but we must also make the investments to fulfill our repsonsibility to provide reliable service to our customers.”
