This is an important article. Thank you for doing the diligence. What defense does the state have for cutting the public defenders office and not the prosecutors? Who benefits? The prison system gets more prisoners for longer. I'd hate to think that the economics of the situation have anything to do with this.
Thanks again for the article, I don't know who else on Maui would present this.
