Ron Paul doesn't think people shouldn't fill in census forms April 08, 2010 | 12:46 PM
He just a) wouldn't vote for a bill to 'encourage' it when he thinks it is more invasive than necessary, and b) respects the rights of those who want to practice civil disobedience to do what seems right to them. His comments were RESPONSIVE to a lot of concern about the census amongst his supporters. In addition to voting against the referendum to 'encourage' people to fill out the form, however, he wrote a Texas Straight Talk article making it clear his issue was with over intrusiveness when less intrusiveness would do the Constitutional job. He also pointed out you could be fined $5,000 if you don't send it back.
