I grew up on Mission St. across from that cemetery. The Japanese one never scared me very much. It was the Na Wai Eha Cemetery with the open sepulchers at the top. Did you guys venture up into that one? That one is even a little sketchy in the day.
I lived in Iao Valley for a while and had my fair share of unexplainable occurrences. Definitely odd to say the least.
And what about Makawao (next to the veteran's cemetery)? There are some really old graves there.
