print email Source: Editorial: Retired Colonel Ann Wright Discusses Why the War in Afghanistan is Unwinnable
War is a crime
January 25, 2011 | 10:21 AM

Talking of winnable or unwinnable begs the question of why those words are even relevant when discussing mass murder and massive violation of international law. Using those words assumes the effort is legitimate, even if a failure. Do we discuss mass murders as winning or losing. Do we root for mass murders to continue murdering? This is a grotesque, incredible criminal enterprise, and winning or unwinning just avoids the honest question.
