Ill try to make this more blunt.
1)MVB advertises for ALL of Maui. Its propping up ALL of Maui. A basic in business is to advertise to bring in customers. Guess who needs customers? Maui. Yes the money is coming from us because visitors support all of the places we get paychecks from.
2) To stick with the business analogy, you cant advertise to your employees for business. You need to advertise to other places to bring in business(visitors) so that your employees (Mauians) get a paycheck. Right now we dont have any jobs. Right now tourism is what is employing maui. That may change in the distant future, but we need jobs now. NOW!!!!!!!! is the key!!!!!!!!!! NOWWWW!!!!!! And how the hell do you think they find out that Maui is beautiful. You are not born and somehow know that there is an island in some ocean that is beautiful as you say. That is impossible!!!! COME ONNNNN!!!! You hear about it from different sources. ie the MVB and travel writers!!

The paia issue is tough and it is being dealt with. Many of us (including me) feel the pain of having to sit in that traffic. The extra lane is nice, but it does need to be changed. Hes been in office for a bit over a month. Blame the predecessors and let Mike work on it. He makes things happen.

Also the money is important because every little bit counts. We need full sails ahead! Sorry to hear you could not run a campaign without your ethics being shot. Sad :(
