It's Just Effective Communication August 23, 2011 | 08:19 AM
This is very funny and even more clever.
I couldn't agree more. If advertisers and publishers want to be successful in this day and age, they will want to learn this lesson quick or get left by the wayside.
In the age of Social Media, Online Advertising and Mobile Advertising; users have many sources competing for their attention. They don't have time or desire to read 1,000 word copy droning on and on about how the publisher or advertiser is important or wonderful -- they will never get to their call to action.
Short emotion filled copy that enters the conversation already going on in their head and appeals to "their" desires will win.
The old saying -- "a picture is worth a 1,000 words" definitely applies here.
Grab your prospects' attention and speak to "them", not tell them about you, and you will succeed!
