i fully agree with the need to develop more farming in our 'very vulnerable island". if the imports of food were stopped for any reason we would be in a truly emergency. Cane was the crop of the past, those days are over. We need to gradually surrender cane cultivation and start growing more food. Considering the times we live now this is the only smart thing to do
