Don't forget - a lot of people were swindled into bad loans, too. And there were a lot of VERY dishonest mortgage brokers. So there's lots of people you could blame instead of/in addition to individuals whose loans went belly-up. In any case, yeah, it's drying up the capital that would otherwise go into a home loan for you. Grrr.
