How Maui Time builds bias into its cover

OK, this is not journalism. Got it. Otherwise, you would not stack the issue with the wording of the title. This is editorializing.

I propose an online poll of the readers of Maui Time: were they happy to see the Superferry put out of business? Do they realize that, when it was, the environmental activists left the State of Hawaii taxpayers with a $42 million bill that could not be repaid?

Maybe the airport would not be expanded if more people were coming by boat--in fact, if anyone at all were coming by boat. And who are these people wringing their hands over unnecessary improvement of access to Maui? Were they all born here? Or did some just teleport?

Maui Time readers need not worry. Very few of them actually pay any State of Hawaii tax. They are either living doing "work trade" or day labor, or they have formed "non-profits" so they can sell their services as "spiritual healers" while not contributing to the collective. Lots of Maui Time readers live on foodstamps--not because they are hard-pressed locals, but because they came here to "get over" on someone else's dime.
