The main complaint is the burning. If they went to a green harvest like the rest of the civilized world, including 3rd world countries that have found burning to be toxic I for one would not have a complaint.
And if it's too expensive to do a green harvest maybe they need a new General Manager that can figure out a way to profit from agriculture on such a large land mass on a fertile island. Grow food perhaps? Fruit trees? Vegetables? Corn (hey big govt subsidies for Corn).
People against the burn don't want Houses and Mini-Malls either. Most of us want agriculture that doesn't need to be burned for harvest.
Get real.
