Ignorance and Insensitivity March 29, 2008 | 03:23 PM
Aloha from the mainland (S.C.). First off, Mahalo Nui Loa for your present path to make other aware of Death and Dying. Bodhi Be, I have been a caregiver, off and on, for over 20 plus years and have disagreed with they systems lack of respect at the end of this lifes journey. I chose to move back to the mainland to be with an oldtime friend, at her request, and take this final journey with her. I have worked with Hospice in the past and intended to do so upon my arrival. However, her intentions did not come to fruition and her power of attorneys did not allow my presence. To make this long story short, I did not get to physically be with my friend at the time of her transition nor anytime prior to that. She passed @ 10:30a.m. and was immediately removed in the disrespectful BODY BAG and taken to the crematorium. I arrived @ 12:30. Bodhi, I am sharing this with you with the prayer that all who read this will continue to become more aware and to share there death with gratitude, respect, peace and love. Please continue to go forward with all your efforts. I miss Maui, all my new friends there but know that the Universe/God/Divine has placed me back here for another purpose. I will continue to find my place in the Healing Arts/Touch profession somewhere..... Blessings to you and all involved.
