Bioplastics break down in 12 weeks in a commercial composting facility diverting from landfill volume. Bagasse contains no GMO and is a waste product of cane juicing - a very light footprint compared with plastic and paper. Bioplastics contain no genetic material. Ethanol, Animal feed, and corn syrup comprise over 90% of corn consumption and GMO research, not bioplastics. The alternatives are petroleum-based plastics - polluting, poisoning, and contributing to war.
